SOL - I moved

If I had credit cards from one state and became delinquent and then moved to another state.... which state do I follow for SOL? The state I got the CC's in or the state I now live in?

Re: SOL - I moved

The reason why I ask is because I want to send a PFD to Midland and I hear they are horrible and I want to make sure I have reached SOL so they don't sue. anyone know the answer?

What are the old and new states.

What was the DOFD and when you left the first state.

Re: SOL - I moved

I got the CC's in Carson City, Nevada and now I live in Orlando, Florida. The DOFD in Nevada is around Nov. or Dec. of 2002.

Re: SOL - I moved

I am not a lawyer.

6 years in Nevada, 5 years in FL.

Both would still be under SOL.

My interpretation is the 6 years from NV hold until they sue you in a FL court-

I do not believe the SOl for NV stops when you leave NV.

Re: SOL - I moved

So, basically, I need to go with the 6 years. That would mean I would have a little over a year left. So, does that mean I shouldn't dispute and just PFD?
