SOL for ATM Overdrafts

Do ATM overdrafts fall under the oral contracts or open accounts category for SOL collection purposes?  My daughter who lives in WA has ATM overdrafts on her CU checking account from 09/2002 and a CA is trying to collect the $800 in overdrafts + another $900 in fees.

Re: SOL for ATM Overdrafts

I would have guessed written contract-
As they signed an account agreement but no credit was extended.

After a little googling-
"Courtesy Overdaft protection"
This would be considered an open account unless a written contract is in place.
