Sent DV, Undeliverable as Addressed

I sent a DV CMRRR to the exact (physical - not po box) address that a CA was reporting on my CR. I just tracked it and the USPS is saying it was Undeliverable as Addressed. I just googled the company and they have a different physical address.

Since I attempted to contact them using the address they provided on my CR (pulled last week), do I still need to try and contact them at their other address? Or should I just fax the proof of delivery to the CRA? I shouldn't have to pay double mailing fees because they can't report to the correct address or forward their mail to their new office. Besides, the bill is only $60 and I'd end up paying over $12 just to contact them if I send it again.

Send a copy of the envelope you will receive back and  the GC to the CRA it is reporting to and ask them to delete since the address is inaccurate.

Re: Sent DV, Undeliverable as Addressed

By copy, do you mean to scan a copy of the front of the envelope that shows the postmarks?

What do you mean by GC?

Should I send it in the mail CMRRR or would fax be okay?

Re: Sent DV, Undeliverable as Addressed

On my returned CMRRR there is a stamp that says ATTEMPTED NOT KNOWN  return to sender. So do I just send a copy of the envelope and GC and not the letter to all 3 CRA's?

Re: Sent DV, Undeliverable as Addressed

If I send in my returned DV I'm planning to include
-Copy of the front and back of the envelope (showing the return to sender info and unremoved green card you stick on the back)
-Copy of the green and white paper you get when you send it that the PO stamps in front of you and gives back
-Copy of the receipt showing the date and info for the PO (can't hurt)
-Copy of the letter I sent

And of course a letter asking them to remove since it is unvalidated.

Yes, but make sure you explain that under FDCPA the CA only has 30 days to validate and if they can not or do not validate then they are not allowed to report/collect on the debt and by doing so they are in violation.

CRAs don't know nothing about validation or the laws. You should read some of the things the reps at the CRA tell people.

Yes, make copies of envelope. GC is the green card from RR.

Personally, I would mail it CMRRR.  My attempts at faxing, have got me letters stating they could not make out the information I sent them clearly and to mail it to them anyway.

Re: Sent DV, Undeliverable as Addressed

I mailed out six DVs CMRRR at once. Would it be bad to copy the entire receipt since the CRA would see that I'm trying to validate so many listings all at the same time? Should I have just done two on one receipt?

Re: Sent DV, Undeliverable as Addressed

The receipt you received from payment is not necessary. Just the stamped copy.
