Should I close a credit card account if I never use it?

I have several credit cards that I opened and used for a while, paid off the balance, and now have no use for them. Does it hurt my credit rating to have these cards showing that I have access to a lot of money even though I will never use them.

if they have no annual fees..its better to keep them open to so that you have a longer credit history. If they are costing you money, try to negotiate and get them to waive the annual fees.
