Smaller increase than expected...

I recently had a slew of late payments from late '07 removed from a credit card that was closed (a 30, 60, and 90). The card has been re-opened. Surprisingly, my score only went up a few points. Is that to be expected?

Re: Smaller increase than expected...

Did you have any other baddies on 2007?

Don't expect big jump until you are 12 months and then 24 months with clean payments-

How much of a jump do you think I will see if I stay clean for 12 months?

Re: Smaller increase than expected...

Hard for me to say-
I gave FICO lots of confusion leading up to me 12 months clean-

I am getting close to my 24 months clean and the sim looks SWEET to me-

Try the FICO simulator-

OMG, we sound almost like drug addicts.....staying clean that is!!!!!

Minnie, I have averaged 10/15 pts per month the past two months, if that's any help to you!

Funny, I had my dh as an au on a card of mine that had a few lates.  I had him removed as au and poof...approx 90 pts!!!!

I had him removed on another card and just a couple of points!  I can't figure this out!

Re: Smaller increase than expected...

This is about right-
No more living beyond means, no being late- one day at a time-
Where do I get my FICO coin?

My name is llecs and about 93% of FICO High Achievers have no missed payments at all. But of those who do have a missed payment, it happened nearly 4 years ago, on average.
