I learn today that to create a social security account on www.ssa.gov, they do a soft pull on EX to verify your info.
So since I have a freeze on all 3, they couldn;t do it and i had to unfreeze EX only.
Yep, they sure do- I found out in Jan when I wanted to pull my earnings statement.

I hate going through all of that!!! 
It's a pain, but in the age of identity theft, probably a good thing!
