Re: Some Onion Humor

That thing about blacking out the information on the check could actually work! If your signature is sufficiently illegible, they won't be able to tell your name from the check, but the check will still be valid, and the magnetic ink machine will be able to read the information just fine. You leave the payee and amount readable, sign the check, and deposit it in your bank. Bank will throw it into the clearing system, and IF IT CLEARS, everything will be fine. If you gave me the check, I would not take it because of the difficulty involved if it didn't clear, but you might be able to pay a bill with a check like that!

Re: Some Onion Humor

Try to contain your laughter at some these actual tips.

http://www.idtheftcenter.org/artman2/publish/c_tips/Solution_14_What_should_I_not_do_on_a_blog.shtml

Here are some quick tips on what not to do on a blog:
  • Do not use your real name on a blog.
  • Do not use your address or phone number on a blog.
  • Do not say where specifically you are going to be on any given day or a location an event you are going to attend.
  • Do not post links from website that have your information on them such as your real name, address, and e-mail.
  • Do not post what school you go to.
  • Do not post your Social Security Number.
  • Do not post your picture or any information you wouldn't want your parents or the whole world to see. (Why did my mind immediately leap to Girls Gone Wild?)
