It depends on individual goals. I want to buy a house in a year and a half, so I needed to beef up my profile more quickly than usually advisable before I head to the garden for a year to get mortgage ready. I want the best rates. So I've got my eye on the prize. I think most people that have even bothered to make a profile here at the forum has had at least a brush with credit naivety in the past and wish to approach it in a new way arming themselves with knowledge.
