Statute of Limitations in Texas

I have been having difficulties in getting an old LVNV collection to be removed from my CRs.

I have disputed it several times over the past 2 years giving each time in between so it does not appear my requests are not genuine. Each dispute has slightly changed the amount and dates being reported but it will not come off the CRs for 2 of the 3.

TU and EX will not drop off.

It is 7 years old from the date of first being reported late as of February 2008. Even though the last dispute with EX changed the original date it was opened to 1/xx/1970 (I was 6 months Old then!!!).

I hear that the SOL is 4 years in Texas?

If so then can I dispute it as outside the SOL and have it deleted on this basis?

I have not left Texas as my State of residence for my entire life.

Re: Statute of Limitations in Texas

Every time that any creditor reports it updates. The report date hurts your scores BUT it doesn't change you SOL.

SOL in Taxes is 4 years and can be argued that this date is the date that you last used it or last made a payment.

CRTP doesn't change  7-7.5 years.

What is the DOFD or DOLA???

CRTP v SOL
