Suspicious Credit Pull from Car Dealership--Fraud?

I'm about to ask for a CLI on one of  my cards, and pulled my free credit report from Experian to look it over before I request the increase. Everything looks ok except for one thing: there's a credit check from a Chevy car dealership a few weeks ago. I do not own a car, haven't been to this dealership or any other dealership, nor have I applied for a job there. I also received a missed call from a local Toyota dealership around the same time, but since they didn't leave a message I assumed it was just a misdialed call.

Now I'm wondering if these two things are connected. I don't have any hard pulls from either of the dealerships, but am wondering what I should do next? Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like a promotional inquiry. Nothing to worry about.

Same as above posters say, they just wanted your business.

Oddly enough I get Fingerhut hard pulls every month or so for 3 months now, I only applied once Smiley Tongue

Id call them back if you were looking for a car Smiley Happy  Otherwise ignore em.

I would not be concerned if it/they are SP's.  I have had two auto dealerships that I have no relationship with do a SP on me over the last year or two.  I believe it is just like credit card companies that are looking for ideal customers.
