Synchrony Fraud?

Has anyone recently received a new card in the mail from Synchrony stating their account may have been fraudulently obtained?

They mailed me a new Marvel card same account number, but said they changed security code and experation date because my info may have been taken.

The notice said it was not on Synchrony's end or the retailer at which I obtained the card. It said to monitor my statement for my safety.

The major question/issue is I don't see any odd activity on my account or any purchases that I didn't make.

Has anyone else had this happen in the last week or so?

I have not but I'd be thrilled to think that Synch was being proactive on your account based on something they knew/suspected, rather than waiting for bad things to happen and try and fix them afterwards.

 

I'd still be watching all of my accounts daily for suspicious activity if I was in your shoes though...
