About 6 years ago, I was in a smilar situation. I was 66k in debt and when I told my girlfriend about it, she dumped me 2 weeks before we got married. Now 6 years later I have a home, approaching 0 credit card debt and a girlfriend who loves me for who I am, not what I bring to the table in terms of money.
While I was crushed at the time, looking back now, it inspired me to change my ways and I learned that if I had gotten married before I mentioned my debt, I would probably have gotten divorced and I learned about someones true colors before getting married.
Be honest and see where the chips fall. If he really loves you, he will stand by you and if not, it is better to know now, not a few years down the road.
Please know yhat there a many good guys out there who would not look at your situation as a deal breaker.
