"Hey, since they're getting these rebate checks they'll all think they're a bit flush in the pockets, so we can jack up gas prices even more and they won't really notice cuz they'll temporarily think they're rich!"

Mine is spent on 1000 going to almost maxed LOC with HFC, and a beach house rental for vacation woohoo may 2nd isn't soon enough lol.

just heard it on the news, 1st direct deposits to go through on monday, so my question is, last 2 numbers of SS is 60 for DH and mine is 34, when we did taxes, the tax man listed my name first so i assume that the rebate would be depostied according to my SS#? do you know what the schedule for me is?

It would go by the "primary" taxpayer or the one listed first.........

Direct Deposit based on "34" should be there by May 9th.

If mailed, based on "34" will be mailed by June 9th.

that sucks cause that was the original date that it was suppose to be deposited in my account, so those that were to get it on the 2nd now get it on the 28th but those that were to get it on the 9th dont get it early? thats NO FAIR!!

The change is that the checks and deposits will BEGIN going out a week earlier than planned for each group.  So before the change, you were expected to receive your deposit on the 9th, but now you can expect to receive your deposit anytime between the 2nd and the 9th.
