I pulled my transunion report last month and there were a number of inaccuracies. I have the same name as my father so all of his accounts were shown on my report. I called up transunion to initiate disputes and never heard back from them. I called again today and they told me they can't look at my report until I send in some identification documents. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he said the same thing. Is this normal? Has anyone else had a similar experience?
Is there a better way to disupute these items?

If you are contacting a CRA regarding incorrect posting to accounts, they can and will ask for identification. Incorrect reporting can stem from identity theft, and they are just being prudent in assuring that they are talking to the consumer.
