Turned down for 2 jobs because of bankruptcy and 1 collection account

On the bankruptcy paperwork that is submitted to the courts it states right on there that you may be turned down for any job based on this bankruptcy.  Not sure if that would qualify as discrimination, I think it is up to the discretion of the employer.

Companies don't only do this in fear of being robbed, they also use it to measure responsibility.

Which I think is crap as most bankruptcies are caused by either a major loss of income or medical bills. Not sure how irresponsible someone has to be to get sick and most insurance has a catarosphic cap as well as a percentage copay.
