How do you figure out UTIL....Balance divided by limit?

Yes, exactly correct.

Calculate BOTH the total credit balances of all your CC's divided by the total of all of your credit limits, AND the individual utilization on each and every CC.

As I understand it, FICO looks at it both ways.
