Upgraded myFICO version and new FICO score

Just received an email today stating this:

myFICO is pleased to provide you with a complimentary Equifax Credit Report and upgraded version of your FICO® Score.

I logged in and seen my score jumped over 20pts!

Awesome, but what does it mean? Did I get switched over to the new 08 version or something? I've been wondering why my EQ score has been so slow to increase could this be it?

Congrats! I got the same email a few days ago but my score dropped 17 points.

Yes, you got switched to a different scoring model. The email sounds like the one I got when that occured to my Score Watch

I was upgraded to the 08 version yesterday. I got a pretty nice bump (71 points)!

How do you upgrade the version or how do you tell which version you have?

you will have received an email if they upgraded you. You can ask for manual upgrade to eq08 by calling in.
