Verizon Collection account reporting question

Hello Everyone,

I have an open collection account through verizon.  It is not with a collection agency, it is reported as Verizon.  On my Experian report, this collection account is reporting monthly that I am 90 days late. It has reported that I was 90 days late 17 times.  Can a collection account report lates/payment history?

Verizon is the OC even though it may be with their internal collectors they get to report as an OC just like a bank would so yes they can report that late every month if they choose to. I would settle it with them before they send it to an external CA and you want it to stop reporting monthly as well so your Fico score can begin to recover.
