Walmart Credit Card Users: FREE Fico Scores are available!

ok, walmart just updated the scores for august! I have a quick question: why is my fico score with walmart 653 and with myfico(pulled today) is 592? which is the real fico score and who should i beleive and why? I'm confused and dissapointted. Please help fico friends.

I think the walmart one is using the newer scoring system. whats your credit profile look like?

i have a few lates from sallie mae student loans back in 2008 but all paid off. i have two capitalone cc with 500 cl, walmart with 700 cl all with a total of 40% uti but never late or over the limit. i have had these for about a year.

Even though you pulled the Walmart TU score today, if it's like mine, it shows "as of August 4th", which means a score pulled today from here  would be newer than the 'Walmart" score.

My Walmart TU actually shows as increase over last month (714) but is still lower than last score pulled from this site.  I was going to buy current TU here today to compare, even though dates are not exact, but couldn't find a working coupon, so decided to hold off.

i just got off the phone with a rep. from myfico.com and she said that walmart may be using a different scoring model to get their fico score. She also said that the true and only fico score is obtain from myfico.com, so that means that my fico score is 592 and not 653 as walmart states. This is bad news, because i thought my fico score was in the 650's like walmart says, but i guess not. I'm not sure if its even worth even looking at that walmart score every month, when it is not a true fico score?

I think you're  right on the money with this!  My updated  score  posted today  (17th)  and it shows "as of August 4th"

Please note there are several scoring models for FICO score. I believe you get TU98 here but some lenders pull using the newer FICO scoring model by FICO itself.
