What is equifax doing with my dispute?

I've filed the same dispute 3 times.

It's simply changing my current address.

I called their CR.

I faxed my utility bill, state id and social security card to them on Saturday.

I even attached a copy of statement saying what the mistake is.

This morning, I received a letter saying my dispute was resolved.

But I can see the address is still wrong.

Are they really doing what they should do?

Re: What is equifax doing with my dispute?

One of your creditors is reporting the old address to the CRAs, causing it to update with the old. You'll need to figure out which creditor is using your old address.

Re: What is equifax doing with my dispute?

Currently, I have only one creditor on file. One credit card with no other credit cards or installment.

The other two credit bureaus seem to be correct.

Only equifax is wrong.

This made me really confused.

Let me back up for a sec...did you move recently?

Do you have anything else reporting aside from the one (e.g. public records, collections, etc.)?

Re: What is equifax doing with my dispute?

I don't have other negative information.

I moved 3 months ago.

I updated the information to my CCC immediately and the information showed up from other credit reports as well.

Actually, my new address really appears on equifax's credit report.

But it showed up as my former address.

My real former showed up as my current address.

The first time, I disputed online.

They deleted my former address which is actually my current address.

I called a CR, filed a dispute, and faxed the required document.

I recently received a letter saying the my dispute is resolved.

I found that they sent my mail to my former address and USPS forwarded it to my current address(Thanks to USPS).

I disputed again on Friday and faxed the required documents last Saturday with required documents.

I received an email saying that my dispute investigation is done.

Nothing is changed.

Re: What is equifax doing with my dispute?

Something is updating on your CR which is causing EQ to change the address. I'd make 100% for sure that your CC statement isn't being forwarded, including any other accounts reporting. Also look within your soft and hard inquiries. If you have an older creditor updating or soft pulling your credit, that could cause your address to change. If you can't zero in, I'd wait it out for a good 3 more months and that'll fix the situation if your current CC is reporting your correct address each month.

OK. I'll see what's going on next month.

I'm kind of tired of contacting equifax about this issue.
