Where is the CR File No.?

I will be submitting written disputes to the CRA's. They ask for the file number, but I cannot locate any file number on my credit reports. Am I just missing something obvious? Also, is it REQUIRED to give them a driver's license# when disputing a non driving or car related issue or will SS# suffice? Thanks

I have only disputed 1 time online, but  I have a form letter to dispute CRA. It ask for:

Name ( complete)

address

Date of birth

SS #

signiture

Creditor/account #         Dispute          comments

Thats all. 

 you get a file # after you dispute. Each CRA will give you a different one.
