Which Reports Matter?

Considering that my EX score is the highest I have:633, TU:596(probably 600+ at the beginning of Aug) and EQ 545.  It would be safe to assume that EX really wont come into play when I seek future financing, right? i.e. EX is rather insignificant.

Re: Which Reports Matter?

It depends, some credit card companies only do specific pulls and just may use EX.   Most lenders will pull all three for loans mortgages and car loans.

Re: Which Reports Matter?

yeah, most places for houses/auto loans will pull all 3
for house loans they will probably use your middle TU 596 score

for credit cards, they usually only pull 1
and depending on what state you're in and what you're applying for

Re: Which Reports Matter?

Experian is my middle score, which is the most important to me,..but i agree with Irvin, all 3 matter

TU hates me, but i still respect it and its puny score
one day it will give in and join my other 2 scores

Thanks for the reply.  Still trying to figure out what they then do with all three.  Is it average?

Re: Which Reports Matter?

what are you looking for? credit card/ auto loan/ house loan?

when they pull all 3, they're looking at each one
it just depends what type of loan you're trying to get

Re: Which Reports Matter?

Surprisingly, TU has done right by me (knock on wood).  Its that darn EQ.  They dont play.  Sad part is, like the rest of America, my biggest issue, 95% of whats on there, is hos/med related.  I have been paying off stuff for a year now, have accumulated 7 cc(did keep balances at 15% til I started reading here) and gotten out of def. on a student loan and gained 118 pts. on EX, 70-80 on TU and a dismal 30 on EQ.

Thanks for all the replies.

Re: Which Reports Matter?

Call your potential lender and ask them.  Cc's from what I have seen pull from EX, car loans from credit unions pull from EQ and mortages pull all 3.
