Who and What do I send?

I have a Don Roberto Jewelers account that has now been sent down the line of collectors. It's from 2003 and has gone from the original balance of $1032 to nearly $5000. I have the receipt/invoice for the final payment made in 2003. How do I go about getting rid of this.?

how has the balanced increased if account is closed?  i would first contact the creditor and explain to them the documentation that you have. Then I would contact CB and dispute item.

Was this in collections when you paid it?  Who did you pay? does your receipt/invoice state PIF?
