Who are they and how can I find out why and what for without asking me?

Did you talk to a mortgage company?  That sounds like a third-party company.  They might use them for their internal "infile" credit reports.

They are a CA.  I live in the area and they are local.  In fact, that is who has my utility account I soooo disagree with.

Oh, NVM.  That's something else.  What you are referring to does alot of rapid rescores I think.
