Hello Again Everyone:

I have a CA where the original creditor is ATT. If I call ATT and pay off the debt of $244. Can I then dispute the account as paid in full?

I have only seen PFD letters for CA and not for original creditors.

I also have an CA were the original creditor is SBC. Now SBC has been taken over by ATT so now my CR reads Validated but lists no amount due, status or anything. It just says who the Collection Agency is.

Help is needed. THnx.

PFD can be used for ANY unpaid TL.

What do you mean "reads Validated"? Is this the name of the CA, or do you see "Validated" in the comments? Have you ever disputed this account?

Under the status portion it says Validated.

Yes I have disputed it. It came back as validated and I added a comment that it is being disputed under the Fair Credit Billing Act.
