adding spouse on to established accounts

Ok, this is my first post so go easy on me! I have a couple established credit accounts in my name only and my husband has a couple in his name only. Is it wise to add each other onto these accounts as authorized users since they are established with excellent payment histories? We are looking to buy a house the first of next year so I'm looking to increase our scores and was just wondering if this is a good idea. Thanks!

being an authorized user will not affect your scores in any way. Fair Isaac just recently stopped using those accounts in their formulas (or soon will) because too many people were using it to inflate scores. it's a bummer for those like you that do it for a legitimate reason. I wonder how hard it would be to add onto the accounts as joint?
