amex creditsecure pretty accurate

Just thought I would point something pretty cool out.  I had always logged into creditsecure and seen the ONE score they give you on the front page that seems to be either independent of the CRAs or a combination of all three.  I delved a little deeper by clicking the credit score tab on my report and found the individual scores.  Here's how they relate to my FICOs that were pulled with the exact same data in the reports:

FICO:  06/07/08

EX - 743  TU - 729  EQ - 714

FAKO: 06/05/08

EX - 741  TU - 724  EQ - 711

Are there any other CreditSecure users out there with input?  I want to know if this is just a coincidence or if AMEX has the formula figured out pretty well.

Starting Score: EQ: 665 - TU: 687
Current Score: EQ: 749 - TU: ---
Goal Score: EQ: 760 - TU: 760

Complete coincidence.  FAKOs are FAKOs.

It's not Amex who generates those scores, BTW.  Those are PLUS scores, which are an Experian product.  Amex just resells them as part of their CreditSecure product.

They use a different scale, too.  So they don't even translate directly.  FICO scores use 300-850, and PLUS scores use 330-830.

Here are mine, FWIW:

FICOs: TU 744 / EQ 720 / EX 725
PLUS: TU 765 / EQ 730 / EX 734
TC FAKOs: TU 701 / EQ 752 / EX 719 (completely backwards)

Edit: Threw in TrueCredit scores just for good measure

Re: amex creditsecure pretty accurate

I put this in some thread or other:

        Finally, as of February 21st
MyFICO     EXPlus     TCFAKO
EX   733       742           670
EQ   783       784          741
TU   787       792           734

Since then the only major change has been EX - FICO 755, EXPlus 765

So  for me they have been similar.

I am pretty happy with CreditSecure to be honest
The slide from grace is really more like gliding
And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid
