any luck converting capital one or orchard?

I successfully converted delta skymiles to BLue cash
and citi aadvantage to platinum dividends

I tried converting orchard bank to anything else within orchard bank and they would not let me.

I tried converting capital one and they didn't let me either.

They both said I had to apply for a better card if I wanted to switch..they would not let me convert. Anyone convert sucessfully with either of these companies?

Despite all the bashing CapitalOne seems to get on this site, I am a very pleased customer of this company.  They successfully allowed me to merge my Visa Gold card account with a $600 limit into my Visa Platinum card account with a $4100 limit, which was quite helpful in allowing me to cancel an AF on the gold card (no fee on the Platinum).  While it was not a "conversion," it still showed me their willingness to work with me as a long time customer and satisfy my request.  If I were you, I would follow up and ask to speak to a supervisor to achieve some satisfaction.
