if a collection account is due to fall off nov. 2008 is it best to leave it alone (its a repo Univ Underwriters)????  its the harshes thing on my report its $11,862????

Depends on your conscience.......

What is your SOL they could sue just before november 2007 if it 6 years....

Leave it alone. If it falls off next year...then that's great.

If you pay it, it starts the seven-year clock ticking all over again, and your score will plunge.

I know...I've been there.
