credit card balance

I have one Credit Card with a balance of $165.00. This is the only cc that I have. Should I pay it off this month or leave just a small balance. I want to get the most points that i can on my credit score.  Any advice will be appreciated.

It helps your score best to keep your util. at less than 10%. They like seeing you use credit so keep a small balance for a higher score.

I would recommend opening up at least two additional CC's, part of the FICO® scoring algorithim is the number of cards with balances.

If you have 1 out of 3 cards reporting a balances, and under 10% utilization, you should be good.
