Bankruptcy and debt info is different.  Debt info will stay on 7 yrs after the date of last delinquecy with the ORIGIANL credior, not based on the date it was sold to a CA.  Bankruptcy 13 will stay on 7 yrs after discharge.  BK 7 will stay on for up to ten years...hope that clarifies it.  IF any of the above are still there after the aforementioned limits you should be able to successfully dispute them and have them removed. The date for BKs to fall off is for the BKs themselves all included debts should still fall off 7 years after date of last delinquency with the original creditor

That is whether or not the debts were included in BK trust someone who has watched joyfully as their credit has improved after all of the above and has also successfully fought reaged accounts added back to their CR.

So.....

if I have negatives on my report from 2000 - 2002 for a particular account and the date that was last reported as a deliquency was 2002, then the whole account would come off in 2009 instead of falling off month by month from 2007 - 2009?

The negative info from 2000 would stop effecting your score in 2007 in bad info from 2002 would stop effecting your score in 2009.  Equifax has an additinal feature that states 'date this accoutn will have positive status' in their reports if you want to look at that.  If it is a closed account and closed in good standing the whol thing would fall off ten years after closing
