Are you referring to an old or bad debt? The company reporting it should be listed on your credit report. Sometimes there is no phone number or address listed, but if you Google it you should be able to find that information. Then just contact the company and confirm the debt. If they say they don't know what you are talking about (and it is the right company) then dispute the trade line.
