Re: good/acurate credit monitoring...?

you can search "true credit canceled" and see the rant's. some of us have been let back in, altough i went through ncip before i knew it was a tc re-seller. others have had to find alternates, like amex cs (if you have an amex issued card) or creditchecktotal (for the low price of $30.00 a month).

Re: good/acurate credit monitoring...?

I suppose I should probably quit pulling daily then.  Time to show some restraint... I'll start working on that tomorrow lol

Re: good/acurate credit monitoring...?

I am using trucredit as well and I am pulling on a regular basis.  I believe the TU made some modifications and now they are not cancelling people for daily pulls.  I am probably pulling 3/4 days out of 7.  I like this service because any change to all 3 of my cra's reports on trucredit.  I have found it the most helpful in keeping track.  In addition it lets me see the days that my lenders report to the bureaus.  By far, experian updates the quickest, followed by equifax and the tu.  As I am in clean up mode, I think trucredit is the best for this purpose.  For scores, I come here.  I have scorewatch here and I subscribe to equifax goldwatch because that was originally my worst CRA.  Now it is experian.  LOL

Re: good/acurate credit monitoring...?

I find true credit very inaccurate so i use "credit expert"  experian's monitoring (especially since it's the one lenders use most).  I can pull it up anytime i need or want to. TU is always late so I get it from WAMU each month for free.  That leaves equifax  which i use every couple of months.  They are always my lowest score.

Re: good/acurate credit monitoring...?

I'm checking out truecredit right now. What does it mean to lock your credit report and why would you want to do that?

Re: good/acurate credit monitoring...?

dett, I also have EXP's Triple Advantage, and have found them very timely reporting new things hitting my CR(from all 3 CRA's).

I like the ability to pull my CR daily, if needed. I usually pull 2 times/wk, just to stay on top of things. Of course, I can only see the EXP CR, but that's enough for me.

The EXP FAKO scores, at least go up and down to show trending, but cannot be relied on for true scores. That's why I pull MyFiCO Complete once per quarter.

I DO like the notification e-mails when something changes. They post those very quickly. They even e-mail you when there are NO changes(for the month). It does NOT however notify you of score changes. Wish it did.
