grounds for lawsuit versus CA?

hi all, I am new to this board but have been reading it for a few days and not seen that i recall if there are grounds for suing a CA. I have not written a GW letter to CA yet, because I wanted to know if I have grounds for a suit first. I have a hard copy from experian and I have even issued a dispute with all 3 as far dates on reporting.  Here are the relavent facts:
Interstate Credit Collections
Status- Paid,Closed/Collection account
Date opened: 10/2003
Date of status 07/2006
Reported since 07/2006
Last reported date 07/2006
Account History:Collection as of Jul 2006 (this is part that bothers me)

I paid this account in full on 3/12/2004 and have a letter from the creditor showing this.
When I look at my account his with regards to this CA on Exp. it shows a "KD" for July 06.

So what are my options and if there are grounds for suit, any idea what damages could be assessed?
thanks for your input

I would dispute the account as inaccurate. Or if you already did & it wasn't corrected, I would send a MOV to CRAs.

Yes there are grounds that you can sue a CA. BUT you DO NOT have them. at least not yet as I can see.
