how to remove paid collections?

Do any of you have any suggestions for removing collections that you have paid...I removed them long before I knew about PFD's. One is 68 for a phone bill and the other is a medical bill...I thought this stuff did not affect you but every time someone pulls our credit these two things get thrown in our face....
