not disputing debt in PFD?

I am writing a PFD letter to a loan company to PIF a loan w/DOFD in March 2007.  I don't dispute that the loan is mine.  But the example PFD letter starts, "This letter is to inform you that the validity of this debt is disputed."  Should I dispute anyway or customize it and start with something else?

Re: not disputing debt in PFD?

I recently sent out a couple of PFD letters as well, in which I knew the debt was mine - I left the part about disputing it, figuring it couldn't hurt...not sure if that was the right thing to do or not, but I guess it's too late now!  Let me know what you end up deciding on...
