Below is a copy of the letter I intend to fax to Merrick bank any advice is welcome.

Per our telephone conversation today I am requesting that Merrick Bank change its reporting
status on experian. The account should read included in bankruptcy and discharged under
chapter 7. Currently Merrick bank is reporting as chapter 7 chargeoff / collection. Under
federal law and the fcra you may not report my account as a charge off or collection unless
that was the status of my account prior to my filing bankruptcy. At the time of my filing
bankruptcy my account was listed as 30 days late which is the accurate reporting.
If you are unable to correctly report this account on experian I would like the following:
1. A copy of all letters and collection attempts sent on my account.
2. Any and all records on my account including payment history.
3. Date my account was charged off and placed into collection.
Per FACTA you must provide these to me upon my request.
Please mail me a confirmation letter when these changes have been completed.
