I have a collection agency that is showing up on my credit report for parking tickets that were being disputed. I paid the debt over a year ago, the tickets were only a few months old but was waiting on the court date. When I called the parking authority to dispute why it was showing up, they said it was showing up because I have received a current parking ticket (September 2007) that their records indicated was not paid. I sent them the copy of the check. They have now placed the balance owed as $0 but I don't think this should be on my credit report for two reasons (1) it was never at a collection agency; (2) the amount showing was paid in June 2006 and it is showing paid in September 2007. How do I dispute this with TransUnion? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
