I read on another credit forum that a "charge off" cannot legally be reported once an account's status is "Bankruptcy".
-Is that true or false?
-Is acct history, incl lates, supposed to be erased by bankruptcy?
My trust in this board's contributors is much higher, so I ask the questions here.
In my experience, EX loves reporting the dual status of "Bankruptcy/Charge off" and continues to report all lates.
On the other hand, I've NEVER seen CSC, or TU do this in my reports. They have removed ALL charge offs, lates, and usually even the history charts when "BK" status is first reported.
