Has anyone ever used rentreporters.com or another system like theirs to have their rent reported to the credit bureaus? Has it actually worked?

Not sure how it's counted; was a little disappointed in their fees for Credit Card service (2.95%); if it were closer to 2 which they'd still make money on, I'd be tempted to at least try it. $40/month, I can get a lot of tradelines for price without wondering how rent (which isn't an extension of credit necessarily) would count.
Especially as I doubt they backdate except maybe on the Landlord side. If I could put my last 8 years of rental history on, that might be a different equation and using AHC or e-check or whatever to try to fund it.
