the limit being approved from banks and credit union

hi all,

i noticed when u applied a credit card from credit union. they tend to be more conserative and approve limits r much lower then the banks.

example:

credit union:

penfed; 2500

sdfcu: 1000

banks:

discover: 10000

usaa: 6500

hsbc: 12000

chase: 7000

amex:8000

let me know if u encounter the same problem.

Re: the limit being approved from banks and credit union

If you look at prior threads you'll see that others have received higher limits from credit unions.  It really just depends on the specifics of any given situation and you can't extrapolate broad trends based on any one person's experience (on any topic -- one data point never defines a trend).  For me, PenFed granted the highest CL that I have.
