Gives you evidence that it was signed for, therefore, CA can't claim they didn't get it. If you need to dispute with CRAs, you can send a copy of both the cert. mail receipt and green card as your evidence of them not validating.
Good news, the deletion by my credit union of my past dues has leaped my Equifax Fico 60 points! I sent them a very gracious thank you letter, email, and tomorrow I'll call. I had no idea of the affect those had.
Now I just need to get my collection reports off and I might start breaking 700.
Wow, I got home today and there was an email from Orchard Bank inviting me to apply for an Orchard Bank Mastercard. I did the preapproval application and was offered a Mastercard Gold with either a $39 annual fee and 18.9% APR or a MasterCard Gold with a $49 annual fee and 8.9% APR. Both had a $19 application fee. Ultimately I chose the lower APR because I plan to carry a small balance and I figured that eventually I could perhaps convince them to waive the fee in one way or another.
