Another update

I checked the IRS website again today 3/24/10 it now says my deposit should be available on

Friday, March 26th!! Woohooooo!!!!  It first said 4/20 but has been moved up....I hope its right

So my timeline is

closed 12/4/2009

filed FTHB IRS received 3/2/2010 according to my GC

Previously updated to receive refund 4/20

3/24/2010 IRS site now says deposit 3/26/10

My status was updated from 4/20 to 3/26 as well direct deposit.

I mailed mine in by certified mail on 2/26 to Atlanta.

I sent in HUD 1 Settlement and a copy of my home insurance policy.

Wanted to share mine. It's the same as CruiseLady and Love2golf...

• Mine was received February 23rd, 2010. Sent certified priority to Kansas City.
• About March 15th, it said if no problems I can expect it by April 20th
• March 24th , the website said I would have mine direct deposit on March 26th!!

I sent in a bunch of stuff with mine, after reading this thread for the past few months. Sent in drivers license, HUD, closing statement, and mortgage statement. Also had it prepared by a CPA.

I sent mine to Atlanta.   I sent my HUD settlement statement along with my 5405 I think it is.  I didn't send any extra papers.   Good luck!!

I sent mine to austin, tx, bc I live in TN. I also just sent my 5405 and HUD1 statement and that was it. thats all i could find they were requesting. maybe I'll hear something soon. Congrats again to you guys!!

3/1/10   sent 1040 x with 5404 and Hud to Kansas City

3/3/10  - USPS Status - IRS "received"

3/8/10 -  USPS Status  - IRS  "delivered"

3/23/10 - called IRS - not scanned yet.  "It could take 12 - 16 weeks"

4/16/10 - called IRS - it's showing as pending in the system but no payment date yet. 

I'm so glad they are finally showing it as received.  He said that as long as I sent my settlement sheet with it, everything should be fine.  I did send the 5405 and Hud-1.   Just need to sit back and wait.     My OCD should settle down now.

Got it today in bank!  It was there when I checked at 7 am.  So, it took exactly 30 days!  Not bad!

Mailed package to Austin Feb 13.

Signed for Feb 24

Refund Rcvd today March 26.

IRS website had indicated April 6, then moved to April 20. we were not even expecting it so soon.

Final update!

Closed 1/15/10

Mailed off FTHB and 2009 taxes certified mail on 3/15/10...

Recieved  at IRS on 3/16/10

On 3/24/10 checked site and if no problems,

Will receive on 4/27/10....

checked site today!

should be in the bank on 4/2/2010...
