Need some clarity on 203k streamline loan and a standard FHA loan, was informed by loan officer at wells that in order to receive rate @ 5% I have to pay 2 addt'l points.....I received my daily a rate email from wells yesterday and their FHA was 5% with 1 point (origination fee) I need to know if the interest rate for 203K & Standard FHA loans are the same rate, because I get the feeling that officer is trying to get me to pay for unnecessary points. I had him do the GFE without points and he tol me the it's impossible to get that rate (5%) without paying any points (except for the 1% fee) If there's anyone that can shed some light please inform....Thanks
