4506-T and risk of IRS audit?

HI all!

Buying my first home in Texas!  I have provided the lender with all of the documents.  Should I be worried about the form 4506-T and leading to a tax audit from the IRS? Does this form get one red flagged?  None of the information I provided is falsified between income and tax return, but don't want to worry about it if I don't need to!

Thanks!

I'm not sure what the source of your worry is. The 4506 is an authorization for your lender to requests reports from the IRS. Analysis of your tax returns occure when you file them ... not when your lender requests them.

Thanks.  I just get paranoid on dumb things and this is one of them. Was only paranoid that the IRS would think, "request of report means something being looked into.  we should too!"  LOL
