I am looking for some advice for the following situation.
I have a personal loan from a credit union which was paid off last year. Tthe account was showing up as an installment loan with zero balance but not closed (on equifax).
I raised a dispute to mark it as closed. They updated it as closed but the account is now showing under Mortgage instead of Installment.
I will be closing on my first home in the next couple of months and I was wondering if it is a good thing for an acocunt to show up as mortgage. Should I dispute it or leave it as it is. Will my score improve or get affected with this?
