Applied for mortgage today... Think I'm going to be sick!

I am sick to my stomach over this.... I was planning to wait a little longer but I found a house that I love. I applied for a HUD184. My loan officer said I will call you later to let you know. That was almost 8 hours ago..... Even if he can't give me a 90% letter, I'd rather know then not know. Freaking out!

Took days for me to hear when I bought years ago. I would not worry about it, home purchases are the slowest credit operation you will ever experience, I consider 48 hours to be reasonable time for lenders & RE agents to get back to you, you have to look at it this way or you will give yourself a coronary.
