Applying for home loan

Good morning!

Me and my wife are going to be applying for a home loan shortly, we are newly married, have been in our careers for less than a year so far, and will probably have roughly a 5% down payment for our hopefully 200,000 home.

We will likely have to go through manual underwriting because of these factors. My question is about verification of rent. We have 4 years of rental history with the same complex, with only 1 late payment of ONE DAY within the last year, will this negatively affect our chances or should we not worry?

One day late from due date? You've been in your profession for a year, what did you do before your profession? School?

Re: Applying for home loan

Nothing you've mentioned would indicate your loan needs to be manually underwritten.  Why do you think it would?
