First time home buyer here, was supposed to close March 31 but just got final approval TODAY! Woo!

A miracle will have to occur for me to close on 4/12 since the builders seem to have all gone on vacation this last week, but should be in the next week or so.

 

Edit: because builder couldn't provide C of O on time (before 4/12), I had to extend interest rate lock, which then required my file be sent back to USDA.  Mortgage company did something weird/wrong and file didn't get submitted to USDA this second time until four days after they intended or told me they were submitting it.  Now we're down to the wire, and while I have received final closing disclosure today, file probably won't get back from RD until tomorrow or Wednesday.  Mortgage company still scheduling closing for Friday, though I won't get final clear until RD blesses it.

 

Nobody may read this, but I felt like documenting the headache.  Hope I can close Friday since I have to hand in keys to my apartment Monday.  Yikes...
