I used to read the monthly-closer threads on here for inspiration. 

Our closing date is 8/14.

Appraisal is done. Home inspection is done and seller has finished most of the requested repairs already.

I just sent in the first round of requested items to the Loan Processor.

I was told it should be going to Underwriting in the next day or two. Yikes.

I keep getting told we are well ahead of schedule and that everything is going smoothly, but I am not going to relax until we have keys in hand.

It has been a long journey and these boards have been very helpful.

We have been praying for a house at every meal for months. God is good. It has been a great teaching opportunity for our kids.

We are so close...

Our closing date is 8/14. 

Supposedly all the conditions have been met except for the lawyer to provide the title policy. They're hoping for an early CTC. 

The loan process (FHA 3.5% down) has actually been fairly smooth so fair, knock on wood. Our problems came from inspection-- the water quality (well water) is high in iron/manganese and everything is stained (dishwasher, toilet tanks, etc). The seller is strapped for cash and can't afford a proper water filtration system, so after a bit of negotiation I decided to let it be and pay for it myself after closing. Wasn't going to lose a 300K house over a 2K filtration system.

Mine went into underwriting about an hour and a half ago... I am not sure if I will hear an answer today or if if they will just let me have a heart attack this weekend.

I got a Conditional Approval back from Underwriting.  They asked for some of the same things that I already sent in.  Then they saw a deposit on my bank statement.  So I sent in where that came from.  Now waiting again.
